A mandala of vivid Mediterranean warmth, set on a ground of deep cerulean that sits somewhere between the blue of an open sky and the blue of still water at noon. The relief work is rendered entirely in silver-white, covering the canvas with a density of lotus forms, tulip buds, layered florals, and scrolling paisleys that extend from the central mandala outward to every corner without interruption. The effect is of silverwork laid over ceramic, or embroidery pressed into lacquer — the relief both flat and dimensional depending on where the light falls. The inner rings are the most jewel-intensive, set with iridescent aurora crystals, square-cut emerald and ruby stones, and continuous lines of round silver studs that spiral inward toward a crown-form motif at the very centre. Triangular geometric accents punctuate the mid-ring with a precision that gives the piece an unexpected architectural quality beneath its ornamental surface.
